You know what I mean: projects get assigned to the first translator available. Or sub-contracted to other, smaller, agencies. And end up with inconsistent tone of voice and terminology. When you have a problem, you talk to a project manager who can’t possibly know exactly how to help you. They can only call the translator who did the job and wait for an answer. So you ask your colleagues overseas to scrap the translation and do it themselves, wasting everyone‘s precious time (sound familiar?) |
